How the other half lives
We left at about 9am. Got to the hotel by about 11:30. We ended up at the Hard Rock Hotel. I was a bit worried but it turned out great. They gave me a very high end room for the same price as a regular room $-) . I would definitely stay there again!!! (more…)

Bangkok
Spent the day on a City tour of Bangkok. The temples were amazing. The detail was very impressive. The next few entries will give you a summary of what I did. I�”ll write more for each day when I get back to Tokyo.

Today we did the tourist
Today we did the tourist thing. We went to a palace then to a local market.
The palace was really cool. Everything was very ornate.
The market was interesting. It was clearly for the locals. We saw all kinds of interesting things.

Leaving Japan for Bangkok
I’m sitting in the airport waiting for my flight and thinking back to my trip to India. I spent a month there, 3 weeks of work and 1 week of vacation. I went to 5 cities. This trip I’m on now is all vacation and only 2 and a half weeks. I have more than twice the stuff on this trip than I packed for India. Just seems odd.
Speaking of packing, I’ve packed enough bandages and medicine to support a small war. Ironically, I suffered my first injury in the airport and all my bandages are packed away in my check in luggage. It’s just a little cut but it’s been 30 mins and still bleeding a little.
