Vegas, Slow start, great finish

Well, the trip started in a bad note. First my heart attack. For work I fly out of CVG (Cincinnati airport) for personal, I often fly out of airport from near by cities. Most of the time you can save $300 or more by not flying out of CVG. Historically IND has been the cheapest for me so that’s what I’m use to. The problem with IND is that it’s in a different time zone. The day before on Thr I figured what time I had to leave work in order to get to the airport on time. Friday morning for some reason I thought “OH NO, TIME ZONE” I’m 30 mins late!!” By the time my heart attack finished I already had my coat on and was down 4 flights of stairs when it dawned to me. Hey, you gain an hour not lose an hour. As I was turning to go back up to my desk the second thought hit me. I’m flying out of DAY, not IND. (Which is not in a different time zone) So from there everything went better. I got checked in, got on my flight and got to Dallas, no problem! Getting out of Dallas was a bit harder. Got on the plane, even got up in the air, but during take off one of the engine lights came on so they had to turn it off. So we turned around and landed again. 2 hours later I were up in the air again but this time made it to Vegas! Vegas was a lot of fun. Saw the sights, did some gambling, did some clubbing, ran in to some very interesting people, and lots of walking. It was a great weekend getaway! The trip home was completely un-eventful, except for having to wake up at 4am to catch the flight.

Last minute trip to Las Vegas

Well a friend of mine suggested a trip to Las Vegas so I thought what the heck. Should be fun. I’ll tell you all about it when I get back.

Light Day in Arizona

Well all the business information is developed and in the hands of the people who need it so Ed and I took off a few hours and played a round of golf.

Arizona

I’m in Arizona helping my brother with some business. He’s been working me like a dog!!! We’d start at about 8 or 9 am and go to maybe 3 – 6 am, go to bed and start again the next day.

Hocking Hills

Today we went to Hockling hills for a day hike. It was the perfect day for it too. The sky was clear, the tempeture was cool but nice, and the leaves were in full color. Hocking hills is a pretty interesting place. It’s a State park with natural forests. In side the park there are several very deep gorge and water falls.

Quick trip to Troy

UGS sent me to Troy Mi. to learn about some new stuff. It was pretty good but the real fun was visiting Christine and Jean. They live about an hour from Troy so I drove down after work one day. I saw the new baby, we went out to diner and the showed me around their town. It was great getting to catch up with Christine and getting to know Jean better. I knew he as a nice guy from when I got to spend a little time with him in Japan but this was the first time I got to have a real conversation with him. He’s a pretty cool guy!

Home at last

I left Hawaii Hotel at about 12 noon on Friday. I finally got to Mom and Dad’s house at about 11am on Saturday. #:-s WOW what a long day! It will take me a day or two to get settled in but I’ll tell you all about Hawaii soon. For now I’m going to just try to stay awake as long as passable!!!!!!
